algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi everyone,
I tried more than once to find the scripts from Tooling from Aranda/LAsch without success. Supposedly all of it would be available at their website (www.arandalasch.com/tooling), but the website is "being updated" since a very long time.
I was wondering if one of you have the scripts and would share it with us.
Thanks.

We've finally increased to full scale and are currently waiting on testing of the performance mockup at the Construction Research Lab in Miami (shown in the image). Throughout this project Grasshopper has been of great use to us in designing, documenting, and in this case fabricating the project. We were sharing the geometry we created in Grasshopper with our…

There was a request for the basic definition I used to make this image.
Process:
Choose an image, and live trace it in illustrator. Expand the live trace, and save the illustrator file. Export the live trace as a jpg or other bitmap format.
In Rhino, import the image with the PictureFrame command. Then import the illustrator file and scale the curves to the…

Reduces material area for cutting from a series of sections. Uses Galapagos.
Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Ive worked all the day in this definition and I hope you like it.
With this you can:
-make ribs with notches
-use the sliders to specify the x and y spacing of a rectangular grid or
-use a custom grid (for this you just need 2 sets of lines)
-specify the thickness of the material
-atomatically place and…

Here is a component I have made for obtaining a set of almost planar surfaces for approximating a NURBS surface. This components converts mesh quad surfaces into a set of individual NURBS surfaces. If you want to use this component for manufacturing a double curved surface; you need to check the maximum deviation of quads from planar status and see if you and your manufacturing technology can tolerate this much error. Enjoy.

I have released an open source plug-in which allows Grasshopper to send commands directly to AutoCAD using COM. I have tested this on my machine running AutoCAD 2011 64-bit on Windows 7.
I have released the source code so hopefully the bones can be used for different purposes and software versions.
If you develop a cool use for this, let me know! I would love to feature it.
Enjoy!
The plug-in and source code are available at…

We've just published a new post highlighting the documentation work that we did using Grasshopper and Revit for the Cleveland Medical Mart. Doing quantity takeoffs in Grasshopper was possible but we were required to submit a model to the local architect in Cleveland which forced us to create a link between Grasshopper and Revit which we've named Cricket. The…

First of all I must express my feelings about Grasshopper and kangaroo : Amazing work that will change the shape of design architecture and engineering.
As for my need of help. After many times of trial and error I am afraid I will not be able to master kangaroo without good knowledge of civil engineering. So I am asking for…

A nifty little tool for creating connectors between pretty much any kind of planar surfaces which intersect themselves at the edges.
What it basically does is to output in a ordered structure the intersecting faces (as tree branches) and their intersection line. From there on you can continue to build up your own connectors…

feed your boolean values into an integer component (this converts the data type), then use a simple 1-variable function to convert... in this case '(x + (x-1))' will do the trick.
