algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Slingshot! users,
I have started to create some better documentation and tutorials for the Slingshot! plug-in. The page is a work-in-progress. More examples and reference materials will be made available as time permits.
Currently, there is documentation for:

Hello,
I'm about to start on an architectural project, where weaving will be used as a strategy to produce a facade. The type of weaving that'll be used is triaxial weaving.
I've managed to physical tests on triaxial weaving, but I've not managed to do digital ones. I know that Grasshopper is fully capable of producing this, unfortunately I'm not that good with Grasshopper.
I was wondering if any of you could share a Grasshopper definition on triaxial weaving. It would…

Hello,
I have a grid of points, for example a 5 x 7 grid. Currently it is flattened list, i.e. 1 branch with 35 leaves. How can I restructure this for either 5 branches with 7 leaves or 7 branches with 5 leaves?
Thank your for your help.
John

Hi All,
The problem is: when i try to merge several data from several flattened sources i.e. Source 1: {0}N=9 Source 2: {0}N=5 Source 3: {0}N=3 into one, the result will be one tree branch {0}N=17 with the data items from all three source merged.
What I would like to do is, to let grasshopper separate them or create new branches for each individual source after they are 'merged'.
{0}N=9 {0}N=9
{0}N=5 -> {1}N=5
{0}N=3 …

Hi all,
I'm putting this up for anyone who wants to test it out before I make it the main release on the Food4Rhino site. Let me know if it works and if not what errors you get.
This contains a fix for the Mesh Collision component, and also a new sort of Anchor where you can toggle separate booleans for constraint in x, y or z of a point.
(Also note that like the AnchorSpring component this connects to the ForceObjects input of the main Kangaroo component rather…

We have finally cleaned up our code, documented, and commented enough to release our depth-as-touch interaction with the Microsoft Kinect into the public domain as free, opensource, copyleft, GPL-licensed code. As our demo interaction was built around our favorite software (Grasshopper), we thought it best to announce it here. The source is written in C/C++ linked against Microsoft's Kinect for PC SDK. We've provided the Visual Studio solution files, our code, but you will have to link it…

Hello all, I have create a survey for Slingshot! Database users...
The survey is to assess how to improve the Slingshot! Database plug-in for Grasshopper and determine other possible development tracks.

Botterfold is a reflective self-supporting mono component sun break cover that research the
architectural design and materialization using digital technologies of parametric modeling and
fabrication. Its structure is made up of 1200 differentiated aluminum components milling, folded,
assembled and riveted. It is designed in Grasshopper plug-in…
