Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I'm wondering if its possible to load a plugin from a different directory on a person's computer (say from Program Files instead of the default Libraries folder for Grasshopper).  I know I can add a folder under the GrasshopperDeveolperSettings dialog...but that would only work for each individual user and what I'm actually looking to do is to create an installer that would automatically tell Grasshopper to pickup the plugin from the Program Files location.  Would I have to create some sort of registry key?  Or modify one of the .xml files located in the users AppData folder?  Or is there an easier way than that?

If you use the RHI installer engine, it'll work just fine. If you want to use another installer mechanism, you can put a *.ghlink file into the Libraries folder. GHLINK is just a plain textfile which contains an alternative location for a plugin.

Awesome!  Does the .ghlink file have any sort of structure?  Or just a directory location that I'd like to link to (ie. C:/Program Files/MyApplication/...etc)
