Hi Guys,
Very happy to let you know that our project Tangential Dreams, built for Burning Man 2016 (pictures below), was shortlisted for the Architizer Award! Designed entirely with Grasshopper3D, the project uses the tangents of helicoid curves to maximize off-the-shelf timber into an expressive installation. We stenciled 1,000 people's dream on the tangents for people to read as they climb and write on the structure.
I hope you can help us win this…

Hi Guys,
We're building a project for the fourth year in a row at the Burning Man festival in Nevada US this summer. Spreading the parametric spirit to the world! This would have never happened without your constant support since the very beginning so thank you so much.
The project this year is called Tangential Dreams, a curvy tower made of straight lines following the tangents of a sine curve. This allows us to use off-the-shelf timber, minimise wastes and…

Hi Guys,
Two of our Grasshopper-generated student projects at the University of Westminster got grants from the Burning Man Festival (Fractal Cult by Thanasis Korras and Shipwreck by Georgia Collard-Watson - renders below). The grants will cover material and fabrication costs but we still need help to…

Sorry for being late, Arthur.
I had not noticed your request ...
Thanks for your friendship !
Hi Arthur,
(Flat_circlepacking_ikerImage.gh)
I have manage to adapt this definition that Daniel Piker worked on(circle packing), o an image-field that defines the radii of the circles, but my main target is to optimize the radii for a better arrangement and population within the image-field allowing the radii to change and adapt during the simulation... some one posted in you tube a great video where they show this plus other interesting packing logic's....
here is the link:

any suggestions about to achieve similar results as image base/fighting for space....?
thanks

Hi again,
I have solved the problem this morning with 'surfacesplit' (since I was dealing with splines creating surfaces, and those needed trimming there where they were overlapping) + some 'list' and 'tree' paths that where not correctly setup.
Thanx.
Hi Arthur,
hope thiongs are well. - Not yet, I have done some trials with the 'region' and/or some of the 'surface' and 'intersect' tab utilities but with no luck. - The real issue is to delete overlapping surfaces...
In any case, thanx and let you know if I get a solution.
hi Arthur, nice to see you here, best. Affonso Orciuoli, if you planning to come to Barcelona, write me. affonso@orciuoli.net
just spotted my project on your wall , respect mate
