algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi Everybody,
This is my first post... I admit i'm a newbie in Grasshopper.
So I would like to generate a kinf of a 2 sided roof on several polygons.
I manage to do this
but now i would like to cut my roof with the projected curve and don't know how to do this.
Perhaps there is another solution to generate the roof, more straightforward, but I'm not good enough to think about.
Could You help me?

Thank You Alex.
Don't understand the difference between the 2 options you give...
I don't identify all the tool you are using.
Perhaps I have to precise that my purpose is to "cut" the roof by the roof geometry in order to cull all the "eaves"?
I'm going to replicate your solution and let you know.
Thanks.
Hi Olivier,
Is this what you want?
Hi djordje...
Humm, knowing your knowledge, I guess this is the solution but I have some error messages with your definition
Don't know why...
Duplicate lines? The solid Difference doesn't work.
I try to understand the way you use and let you know...
Thank You
I was trying to do that, but the problem seems to be the same...
Some problems with the capping or the solid difference.
?
Orange component does not necessarily mean something is wrong. It just informs about a warning: for example: inputted tree has a branch with no data on it.
Please attach your .3dm file too.
Hi,
Sorry... Lots of things to do.
I just want to build a 2 sided rood on the polygons like this:
( At least, I manage to generate 1 example !)
But, as you can see:
- The roof is generated on 1 or 2 polygons, but 1 polygon gives nothing... Why?
- This definition does not work with fillet radius on the polygons...
- The generated roof has too many faces after baking.
Have You an idea about to solve these problems?
Thanks a lot
