Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi I've been stuck on this problem for a few days.

Is there a simple way to group a set of lines according to their parallelity?

Thanks,

James

Sorry i meant parallel not perpendicular (slip of the tongue).

I don't think the line one works, as you say it should work regardless of start-end. But in your definition two identical lines with opposite start points would not register as parallel.

I have attached definition with different input lines to show what i mean

Nick, thank you very much for your solution, that's really a big help.  Now I just need to figure out a way to simplify/eliminate overlapping lines and all my problems will be gone (another thread of mine)

Cheers,

James
