Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Guys,

I'm working on a complex item, and I'm stuck now. Hope someone can halp.

Basically I have a number of triangles in the room (above 1000) and for each item I'm going to connect the corner points with the centroid.

My script is giving me correctly the angle of the given line with the border line. I'm faling to get the opposite associated angle for each one. I want to export all this info to excel associated with the triangle ID (maybe I need a numbering script??). In this manner I fail also to understand how to connect branches of different information.

The info should always be grouped: TriangleID, A-A', B-B', C-C'.

Furthermore I'm trying to draw a normal line to the face, but I can't understand where the source of the normal comes from (maybe I'm using the wrong command!!!)

Attached the GH and 3dm file.

Hope someone can help!

Hi Stefano

I'm faling to get the opposite associated angle for each one

Can you elaborate on this. maybe with a sketch as to which angle you require

Hi Danny,

find the picture, I hope it's more explanatory.

The angles in the script are 3 angles on each corner, but as the dividing line is not a bisector I need the opposite angle.

Mainly the issue is how to associate each angle to the triangle (branches of sets) and then how to associate the opposite angle to the already given angle.

All this information should then be exported to excel.

cheers

I'll be in work in an hour and post a definition.

I cannot spend any more time on it, so you will have to try and figure out the bugs yourself but the principles are there. It works for the first triangle (which there are two of ???) but not the rest.

You will need gHowl for the spreadsheet writer component
