How to project object into another object

Hello to all,

As i am always novice, i tried to project a range of pipes along a cylinder but i failed in rhino ! Then i tried it with grasshopper but that is the same situation (As you can see in this picture attached) . Firstly i tried with curves to project onto this cylinder but nothing... How should i do ? I miss something ? :)

Sorry for the second message but i want to know the role of points in this process ? Can we use another method than points ?

Hi Mehdi,
Two points are used to define vector's direction inputted into "N" plug of the "Contour" component. You can use your own vector, or use the unit ones (unit X or Y or Z).
