Hi David,

Just wondering if you could revisit these items? Or are they assigned to GH2 already if so I think the Fillet Names should be a high priority before GH gets embedded in RH6

Cluster Naming Convention

I'm planning to get a lot more mileage out of the Cluster Hook objects (in fact they'll no longer be used exclusively for clusters) and adding the ability to override the name, nickname and description is definitely part of that.

Document Specific Settings

Interesting idea to have an object on the canvas that control certain (all?) document settings. Definitely a lot of mileage in this approach.

Wild Card in Construct Path

Yeah it makes sense. It's a lot of coding to replace the integer-only data type with something that can handle wildcards in all components so I probably won't get around to it soon.

A large renaming effort will be part of GH2. There are three things we want to accomplish with that:

  1. Consistency
  2. Self-documentation
  3. Invoke unambiguity

Consistency is hopefully obvious. We need to start using the same words to describe the same things everywhere. We also need to use words that are reasonably obvious to someone who hasn't seen them used before in this context. Sometimes that will be difficult ('Brep', 'Nurbs', 'Tree' etc.).

Now that Python can invoke Grasshopper components by name (and we'll try to add this functionality for VB/C# as well come GH2), it's no longer a good idea to have the same name appear twice. Or to have a name which only makes sense in the context of a specific tab/panel. I.e. 'Explode' bad, 'Explode Brep', 'Explode Curve' good.

Context Flatten path Assign

Interesting idea, but it cannot be like that, since then you could no longer click on the Flatten item to toggle it. I'll see if I can come up with a good alternative.
