Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I have two cylinders. I divide them on surfaces (z) simulating floors of a building. I separate each surface with Explode Tree, to manipulate them individually. How can I join two of the surfaces, that now each one are like branches from the tree?

They are separate by a determine distance. I already use Solid Union and Merge, but it doesnt work.

Thanks!!

If you could up load your files with the problem it much easier to help as there are many ways to built edit trees back together.

Thanks!

Here is an example...

Ok, so it looks like you want to somehow connect two floor slabs on the same level? At first, you might want to think of how the connection would look like in a plan view. Then you can derive a way to construct the outlines of the joined floors and extrude the slab. Or you could define away to construct the geometry that joins two slabs.

Long Story short: bake it and find a way to join two slabs in Rhino. Then use this as a hint for us or find your own way to port it to GH.

Thanks!
