Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I have attached images of my screen from rhino and GH.  Im trying to have control of this surface so that I can move the edges in a clean way without having to manually rebuild the surface every time.

Right now I would like to be able to snap the edge that is closet to the vertical green line to that line.  I am having the hardest time figuring this out.  I am still pretty much a novice with all this.

Im sure this isn't super clear if there is anything else I can provide please let me know.

Thanks

Stanley

snap the closest edge and closest only? aka so as to have the surface "morph"?

Sorry,  I dont really know how to explain it very well.  I have attached another image.

Ideally I would like to keep all the edges the same except the the two corresponding to the green lines.  I know that because there are 6 edges that I cant use the "Edge Surface" battery.  If I need to rebuild the surface each time that would be ok as long as I have a way to adjust the edges to specified dimensions or increments of movement.

Or if there is a way to build a that surface out of 6 lines, that would be great too.

hmmm...

Could you provide your rhino and gh file?

Yea here it is.  Thanks.

I got it I was able to do it without even going through GH.  It was achieved through Rhino as a patch and constrained through tangency.  Much faster and simpler.

But if you think of way through GH would still like to see it.

Glad you figured it out.

I'll still look into it. I'm thinking some type of orient and rebuild, or maybe morphing...

I'll let you know what I come up with.

hmm... can't seem to replicate what you want to achieve.

I'm sure there's a way, it's just above my current thinking abilities :S
