Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi, i am trying create walls from joined or filleted curvs, but when I use the VisualARQ wall component, I get separate wall entities as an output. This becomes an issue when i try to evaluate the curve at a parameter to add doors, as there are multiple wall entities, instead of one

I experimented a bit and found out that the only way to get a joined wall is to make a continuous nurbs curve.

It this a bug, a WIP, or there a way to achieve a single wall entity truly representative of the initial curve, no matter whether that curve is nurbs/joined soft/filleted/ sharp polyline/etc?

Hi Dimitar,

This is the way it works in VisualARQ. Try to create a wall from a polycurve or a rectangle, for example. A different wall item is created by each segment of the polyline. In VisualARQ Grasshopper Components it works in the same way.

The Grasshopper preview might not show the walls intersection correctly, but as soon as you bake these walls, the proper intersection is automatically calculated.

cheers,
