Hi Juan,
Ecotect works with Mesh not nurbs surfaces so make sure you export as a 3ds file.
You can even convert your surfaces into meshes before exporting to get the right density, just type mesh.
Geco is what you should use, have a look there http://utos.blogspot.com/p/downloads.html

Thank you for your response, Geco!.. thats what it was. will this work with the latest version of GH?

As for ecotect, Ive tried to export as 3ds and converting my surfaces into meshes, but in ecotect, the geometry imports with a bunch of line all across.

Hi Juan,
Geco works with 0.6.0059.
Could you please post a printscreen of your lines on ecotect and your exported 3ds file ?

I have uploaded the screen shot of the ecotect file showing the lines i was talking about, as well as the rhino file with the geometry as mesh.

Dear Juan
sorry for replying so late but we missed your post
so after taking a look on your image i think it has to do with your graphic card and the opengl settings
attached is a image how it should look like after it has been sent through geco to ecotect.
if you need any other help or inforamtion please use the
[uto]-tool forum
