algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello. I am a newbie to grasshopper and i found it extremely difficult to use tutorials (sometimes just a few months old tutorials) because many of the commands of the new version and older version of GH is completely different.
Is there a reference list that we can reference to each other that sometimes when we don't have the command in the tutorial we can at least look up?
Are there any reasons why people overhaul names in every version?

They are not overhauled in every version. In fact name changes are rather rare. A few versions ago I tried to unify a lot of names as they were not very consistent across the board.
The reason Grasshopper still changes so much is because it is beta software. It's an experiment, and I frequently make wrong decisions while designing the SDK or the GUI.

Thank you sooo much for replying my question in person! I get the idea now.
I am just wondering if there are memo or a list that we can refer to for component name changes in new versions?
I'm afraid not. Not even the Version History record tends to mention these things as I do not consider them to be new features or bug fixes. In 0.9.0051 there's an entry:
and
but that's as close as I get.

Thank you! Maybe i will try to familiarize myself with the current naming system!
Hi dear Corey, I'm facing the same bad problem also, I think we should read the books and understand the idea of Grasshopper, cause it is always changing. I tried to find such list but unfortunately there are no lists.
Wish you good luck :)
