damaged file

Hi! I´m having trouble with the electricity power. The current went off several times and one of them I was saving a file. I cannot open it now, I get the attached jpg error message. Is there any way to solve it? How can I open the file?

sounds bad. Can you post the file?

Also, what version of GH are you using. File saving should be pretty secure even in the event of a power-out in later versions. Of course you can still get unlucky if the power goes out at exactly the wrong moment, but that moment should not be more than a couple of milliseconds.

Hi owe,

the file is filled with zeroes. This is typically an indication that the writing was indeed interrupted. Windows first creates a space for the file on the disk before writing the file data into it. It seems that a space was cleared but the data never got written.

Have you looked in the AutoSave folder, there might be a copy of the file still there.
