Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi

I am having a problem for filter groups of curves,

I have a cad file import to rhino , and each curves list a few different types of Beam data

I use hopster to find all coordination of text , and separate them to different dataset , such as 400*400  , 400*600 etc

I am   trying to use those closest points to  select the same types of beams which close to those points so i can separate them in different layer

I have tried cp component to find curves , but fail

please see attached jpg file to see the problem

If I am getting this right, you are trying to find the closest curve for each point?

Made myself a cluster once, that works like this:

Note: The blue List component is just a regular [Listitem] with preset index=0

Hope this is what you are after.

Hi

thanks so much for help

yes i want to find curves where closest points  are then i can separate curves  with different types of beams

This is what initially i tried , i used crve cp and  check distance to sort  fine relationship

but doesn't work

Attached are  rhino and grasshopper

maybe people can figure out solutions

I would appreciate it

I have tried another approach  is that    by  creating  circles  based on certain distance  to find perpendicular  point on curve

I am thinking of  use this new points on curve to find curves  ,

If point on curve then this will be the curve i want

but  can't find  good way to do next  point on curve thing
