algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Huhu,

do you guys have an idea how to get a solid out of this?
I have two polycurves with the same fillet, one of them is tilted. I try to loft them and cap the holes, but without success. Also I tried to patch the upper curve and make a brep join with the loft, in some case it gave me a closed brep, mostly not.

If I do the same with just the polycurves it works fine, there problem is the fillet, but I need it.

Hi Michael,

It would be better if you could attach the .gh and .3dm files.

you are right :)

I think the upper curve on the larges irregular hectagon is the cause of the problem. It's not planar, so you can not cap it, as it will require a planar curves. You can patch is, as you already said, but still Rhino could not exactly follow the shape. This will result in the gap between the lateral (lofted) surface and the upper patched one - there for after "Join"-ing you either get a open brep, or even a brep plus upper patched surface.
Try to edit your upper curves.

thanks to have a look :)

I will use just the polylines instead of the fillet curves.

Thx.
