Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hey guys,

i'm new to grasshopper so this may seem like a very basic question. i am following an online tutorial and one of the steps is to create a plane at the tangent of each intersecting point. i am able to do so but the size of the plane itself is huge compared to the form and results in an unreadable cluster.

In the tutorial video, which the geometry was also supplied in, the planes are much, much smaller than the ones visualized in my model, and can be read easily at each point.

So is there any way to change the plane size?

No, but you can use Deconstruct to get your planes Origin, X,Y,Z vectors and use them to make your own customized preview.

For example:

Hi Philip,

planes are infinite, but the visual size of them can be altered in the Display menu. Unfortunately there is only one setting that affects all planes, you cannot set the display size for an individual plane.

Hi,

I'm new to Grasshopper and I have exactly the same problem.

I can't find the Display menu. It's not under Tools > Options > View.

Where exactly do I need to go?

thanks

Ralph
