algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello !
I have created a cracked triangular object in Rhino , and i am trying to put in this surface modules that i have showed inside the file, so basically its like a second skin in the mentioned surface . This elements are opened in a certain variety and i would like to multiply and spread them inside this spaces and create a surface with this elements. They work like swell and contraction system .
unfortunately I'm new user in grasshopper and I can't manipulate the following things,
spread the triangles so they will overlap each other
control the openings of each module separately
so i would like to achieve smth like the second picture at the end, but to keep the idea of the triangular arrows.
any feed back will help me a lot!

Hi Priam12, here's my suggestion. For now openings are controlled by an attractor point. Hope this helps you on your way.
Hi Pieter Segeren , thanksss a lot for your help :), in general this was my idea regarding this elements
But i would like to ask you smth more: how can i control this faces of the arrows in 3d , i mean to open them also in one more dimension , like in the example that i have shown below. So is it the need of one more slider to do this?
thanks in advance
Priam12
i mean if this elements can be fold in 3d dimensional
HI Guys!!!
I was looking this example in grasshopper done by Chris Tietjen in 2011, the opening triangles
I am trying to change some components in grasshopper , in order to achieve the idea that i have , but in my case in an arrow not an triangle.
So if you have any idea which components should i change?????
PRIAM
Hi Chris Tietjen ,
If you see my idea from above, my idea is a bit different, it has to do with arrows, the example given by Pieter Segeren .
how can i control the 4 faces of the arrows in 3d like your example, i mean to open them also in one more dimension, like to bend them like in your case.
thanks in advance
