Importing old grasshopper files into version 0.5

Does anyone know if it's possible to import files created in older versions of grasshopper into version 0.5? The files in question where made about 1.5 years ago (i.e. well after the jump from explicit history to grasshopper).

Thanks!

My mistake: Version 0.6 not 0.5.
Nope, there was a brief window of opportunity as I maintained both file formats for a few consecutive versions, but I've completely stripped the *.wrm (de)serialization code now.

Ok, thank you!

Suppose I reinstalled an older version of grasshopper, would I be able to upgrade my .wrm files to .ghx? I would hate to lose all this old work.

Thanks,

Andre
Yes you probably could. Unfortunately I haven't kept the versions that allowed for both file formats. Perhaps someone here on the forum still has the installer in question...

Which versions would have the cross over, because I have most backed up?
This is the link to the posting that preceded the loss of wrm.

Is that enough info to find the proper installer?

It was made March 10th 2009 and it read:

"The next version of Grasshopper will no longer support the *.wrm file
format. If you still have wrm files you should convert them now into
either *.gh or *.ghx.
Support for this file format was intrinsic to many different
interfaces and classes and in the interest of simplicity I decided to
remove legacy IO code from the core plugin."

Thanks David.

Danny, if you have an older version of grasshopper that you could send my way it would be a huge help!
I have a Grasshopper_Wip_20090323 GH v0.6.0007 or a grasshopper_wip_20081202 GH v0.5.0099 but nothing in between.

I tried to install the v0.6.0007 but it failed to initialise in Rhino.

Thank you. I'll let you know how it goes.
