algorithmic modeling for Rhino
try horster tools.
The component "justified 3d text" from andrew heumann is working just fine, if you put a text on a plane and then rotate it ...
the problem is ... the text isn't looking that good as it looks like if you do it with the text command in rhino ...
is there any other tool for text in grasshopper, that makes a nice "two dimensional" text?!
I mean as nice as it looks like if you do the text in rhino .... ?
Hi Ahmed,
FabTools has also a 3D Text (that looks exactly the same as in rhino) try that one maybe thats working for you. You can also explode the text directly in grasshopper and use the curves to manipulate...see the text example for that.
Cheers

Thank you Florian ... These seems nice as I don't have to go outside GH ...
I'll try this ...
exactly ;-) It outputs a TextEntity object...which is exactly the rhino text object...you can bake it with the advanced bake...and has the same appearance, as the preview in gh shows you. You can also convert it to contour curves...but take a look at the example files there is a tutorial on text
Thank you very much :)
tutorial?!
where?
Yes I'm Florian. http://fabtools.blickfeld7.com/examples/ are the tutorials. These dropdown elements in the picture are ValueList... just type valuelist in the search and you will find them. Connect them to those inputs, that have the "AutoList" function...see this site for more information: http://fabtools.blickfeld7.com/howto/
But please assign to the fabtools discussion group: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/group/fabtools and ask everything you need there. It's getting offtopic in the current topic.
Cheers FF
If you have GH lower than 0.9.0056 then is nix :-(
panel works just fine
I love you man! :)
