Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi, you,

I have a mesh terrain made by using DelaunyMesh component and subdivide it using a WB component. Now I want to get some contour lines from it ,how to do this within GH ? I have little idea .

I just attach a picture to show what I need(highlighting curves):

Any clue and help are greatly appreciated ,thanks.

I think [Mesh / Ray] is the only GH intersect component that works with meshes.

You might just have to use _MeshToNURBS, join your surfaces, and then work with the polysurface in GH...
Thanks Taz, but it's _MeshToNURB ,I doube it will generate too many surface??I will try~~
Giulios grasshopper tools for creating contours will section meshes for you:

THanks Gwyll !!It seems be what I need, but I donot know if they work for GH V0.7 ,I will give a try anyway~
If Giulios tool doesn't work and _MeshToNURB gives you too many surfaces you might be able to to reverse engineer a single surface (depending on your topology).

RhinoResurf has a free trial download.

RhinoTerrain also has a free trial download.

Mesh|Plane intersection component added to Grasshopper 0.7.0048. I'll probably have another release over the weekend.
