algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi everbody,
I have a question about how to change angle between the lines in grasshopper. My aim is to obtain a deployable hypar with constant bar length. I have defined a hyperbolic paraboloid (hypar) with 4 skew lines. As you will see in the attached file, it can be deployed by moving the upper nodes. However, this cause to change of line lengths. Rather than this, is it possible to change the angle between the adjacent lines??
I would be glad if someone can help me.
thank in advance,,

Thx for ur help, I got it ;) I think u described some construction lines to generate the hypar. I am asking u this, cuz I m new to gh: Is it possible to eliminate these lines? Another question is that how to draw lines between two opposite lines by dividing them into segments as in the image below.
I have enclosed the new gh file.
Yes, my program just constructs the edge lines. Add this to the right in the definition to get the divisions.
The construction lines is how GH works; everything generated by the program stays on screen unless explicitly hidden. Select all the components, press space and klick the blindfolded head. Then rightclick and select "preview" on the components you want to see.

unfortunately, I couldn't open the file that u sent. I think it is due to that u did it in the latest version of grasshopper. If possible, could u plz send it again, because I couldn't find some of the component in the image. Thx,,
0.9.0014 is the latest GH revision and available for Rhino 4 and 5. Any reason for not updating?
