Can this attraction effect be achieved usin pure grasshopper?

Hello everyone,

attached is a point attractor algorithm that uses VB script, can this SAME effect be achieved using only grasshopper (no scripts involved)? PS: I don't want to use kangaroo either..

Thank You..

Hey, here in the forum you can find a lot of possibilities.

this post is quiet old, but I think it shows some ways (me, Michael and Sytemiq):

check Michaels homepage as well.

I added an updated version of an old file oof mine. You do not have to use the z direction effect. But just have a look and make the grouped components visible.

Maybe it helps

Hi,

If plug-ins are good for your case you can use Nudibranch's, Pt_Attractor component, that is also achieving an iterative deformation of the curves.

Best,

M.

Perfect solutions, thank you both so much..

Either I missed something or the OnLine.direction doesn't return a vector from start to end point. Can someone please verify this?

Other than that, this the part of the script that is actually used converted to native GH.
