Hi, can smeone help with this python based definition. I am trying to create a random jagged surface from an original surface.

Thanks this is kinda like what I want but I wanted to create a surface composed of small triangles. But thanks a lot for your post.

triangles...so a mesh?

Sort of. I tried using mesh from points but the mesh from points component centres the triangles on the points. and thus overhangs the original surface. I will post a manulally created version of the surface I want on here in a bit. At the moment I am doing some Python training with http://www.geometrydepth.com/python-class-coming-next/. Here is an image of the surface I am trying to create it is actually a collection of lots of small triangulated surfaces not a mesh or a fuild surface. I have put the python script into a definition now but there must be something missing with the code because it still dosen't work and don't know why.
