Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I have a tear drop shape in plan, which I'm trying make floor plates in series along a curve , and then I have need the shape extruded along the curve to give me the skin. I've completed it in Rhino but cannot figure out how to do so in Grasshopper.

Thanks for any help you can offer

I tried sweep but it creates folds and is not a straight extrusion.

Divide the tower height into the number of floors you want.

Place horizontal planes at those points.

Intersect the plane with your brep.

create surface and extrude up or down to the thickness you want.

offset the face of your brep to create the skin.

Can you show a definition of this process with just a simple brep so that we can see exactly what components to use?

Thanks

Give this a try. This not only creates curves for your floor plates, but also lofts them together to form the skin.
