algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi Daniel,
Thanks for posting. I haven't tested first hand the Microstation import very extensively.
I do believe that Bentley might be presenting at an openBIM event in Melbourne in a couple of weeks time, so I'll see if I can get access. In the interim if you can get any advice from Bentley I am more than happy to advise. Make sure you are exporting IFC2x3 (right click on the ssiBake component) and not IFC4 as I don't believe they have implemented it yet. Are other objects being created ok?
Cheers,
Jon
It seems that Microstaion dosent work in the same way as Revit with the creating of Levels. There must be some other coding/relations than Revit.
Another question. I have tried to create Curtain Walls with GH+GGBIM and when I import it into Revit I get this error:
By the way have is it going with creating a manual? I know it takes time. I am doing a Nordic teaching manual for Revit, and would like have some advanced Rhino+GH - Revit interoperability in future sections.
Thanks
daniel....
Hi Daniel,
Curtain walls is on my todo list, and I am pretty close (I hope) to walls by face for Revit (for non vertical etc).
With regards to a manual, I am in a pretty similar position to David (http://ieatbugsforbreakfast.wordpress.com/2012/11/12/enter-kaitlin/ )
I will try to get some progress on this ASAP.
All right I can see a point regarding what to focus on...
Sounds interesting with the Walls by Face function. But is there a work-around regarding Curtain Walls? I am still struggling to get all the relation with GGBIM components. I would like to help with some basic manual. I learn from it and hopefully also others...
Can you send me a representative sample of what you'd like and I'll see what can quickly be enabled?
Sorry for the late replay.
I would like to have the opportunity to create Revit mullions and panels within grasshopper and using your GGB to export it as IFC.
Welcome to
