Obfuscation

Does anyone use it? How do you use it? Is there an obfuscation option in the VS IDE?

You need to get a separate application which obfuscates existing dlls. Many of these applications are integrated into Visual Studio though.

I think a few of us use Babel.Net http://www.babelfor.net/

I still have an older version that runs independently from a batch script. I have been meaning to upgrade to the latest version as it's worked quite well (as far as I can tell).

I used to use the dotfuscator that came with visual studio but I prefer babel.

Thanks jon, i hadnt heard of babel. I think ill take the plunge. Did u get the pro version? Enterprise seems overkill.

as an aside, have u upgraded to vs2012 yet? Would you advise getting te pro version with MSDN?

I'm just about to purchase vs2012, have still been using 2008. I was thinking I don't need msdn but I'd be interested in other opinions.

I did get pro version of babel.
