Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I seem to be having an issue with Remove Duplicate lines tool from kangaroo in a few of my scripts. Have i misunderstood how it should work or has it changed?

In the example below i create 3 identical lines. Using remove duplicate lines only works when the tolerance is greater than the length of the entire line. I thought the tolerance was in relation to start-end points to each other.

The second example shows the duplicate line tool acting in a way i cant fathom.  It only returns a single 20mm line. (Even if the tolerance is set to 1000)

Hi Nick,

There is a bug in the latest 0.084 Kangaroo version related to the Cull duplicate line component.

From what Daniel Piker said, he will fix it in the next few days.

Ahh phew. Thats a relief. I thought i was going crazy, all of a sudden the script that my office's stadium is built on was throwing out irregularities. The engineers were not happy.  I was having to implement all manner of workarounds. I will give the spiderweb a go too. Thanks dude

Either that or try the older version 0.080. There's not bug there.

karamba also features a cull duplicated lines component. this one has also an output which gives you the indices of the culled lines.

And Spiderweb has the same feature too, within its component "cleanSetOfLines".

The bug has now been fixed and Kangaroo version 0.085 uploaded on Food4Rhino

(It might take a few moments for it to appear on the available downloads list - if you need it now send me a message)

Great news !!
Thank you Daniel.
