Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello, thanks for the interesting tool.

I get these three ID conflict messages while GH is loading (two looks the same). How can I fix it? Thank you

It looks like you have installed multiple copies. Check if you have installed the components in only one of the directories. Search grasshopper forum to see the two possible directory locations for components. You might have put the plugin in both locations.

Well I know the meaning of ID conflict and I did read about the two possible directories. The point is that I just unzipped and put the content of the folder "Put these into Components Folder" (not the folder just the whole content) into C:\Users\Francesco\AppData\Roaming\Grasshopper\Libraries so it's wierd there is a conflict. is it possible that the conflict is with some other Sonic plug-in but it reports differently? In fact what is strange that the TweetUser file make only one conflict and doesn't load and the BranchCount make two conflicts but it's just one file, so it looks ljke there are three conflict with two gha files. (in fact before GH run a smaller window says 3 conflicts...)

I just checked again and what is strange is that the TweetUser file make only one conflict and doesn't load, the BranchCount make two conflict and doesn't load one of the tools of the group, and then without any alert of conflict it doesn't load one of the two tools of the group String.

this is what I get

I still have not experienced this problem.... did you figure out what was causing it?

If I can replicate the problem I can solve it, however I cannot find the issue on my system with Rhino 5 or 4 :(

Have similar problem, out of the blue, after the first install.

These are the components that are missing after GH loads in.

Not sure if I did something wrong, plugin is rather easy to install and from my experience this shouldn't happen. Did anyone manage to fix it, what should I do guys?

You are correct you have multiple versions installed, go into your components folder and delete everything that begins with Sonic. Then delete everything that started with Mosquito. Restart Rhino and GH and see if the error is still there. Check to see if the components loaded. If they did not then you removed everything in the correct way.

Now download Mosquito again, restart Rhino and GH, and drop the Mosquito components into the components folder. Restart Rhino and GH and you should be good to go.

Hey Carson,

I tried to do what was suggested here and in other discussions but I still get the problem. My Libraries (or component) folder is neatly organised like this:

Grasshopper is smart enough and it is ok to have .gha files lying there under their own directories, however I also tried placing Mosquito stuff in the main directory with the same results.

I have double-checked each folder, but they were all ok.

For now I can't have mosquito working properly. I wonder why does it direct to its own components when component ID conflict happens. Removing .gha files that it points to seems to fix the problem, but those 3 components are gone as well.

Update on my ID conflict problem. This solved it, turned it off long time ago to solve another problem.

Hopefully this will help you guys, check this out.
