algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello guys,
i am new and i use Grasshopper only recently and would like to get to know the program better.
Therefore, trying to recreate beautiful structures similar.
I'm building a train station with a wave structure as a roof, the waves I can freely change. With weaver bird I could give the whole a material thickness. Now I would like two to three openings in the area of the openings and to lead a sort of pipe to the ground. (As an example, I have added a picture of a project from Fuskas )
Now I'm at a point in my limits and I'm stuck.
I hope you can help me or can give me advice

Hi Gökay,
Might try something like this:
I created the surface by lofting the curves in Rhino. It's much easier that way. Triangulating of that surface was created using a single Lunchbox component. Definition will not work unless you download the Lunchbox plugin and install it. After that, be patient when opening the definition, it might take some time while canopy pipe construction load (at least it does on my weak PC).
If you would like to have a bit wavy top part, then just pull the control points of the surface at that part, in Rhino.
By the way, welcome to community.
Hey djordje, thanks for your response.
Your way to build this looks good, after work i will try a combination with your way and weaverbird for the material thickness from the structure. Do you have any idea how i can add panels to the structure above and below , after the step with weaverbird ?
To the other guys, have anybody other ideas ?
Use the Weaverbird's "Picture frame" to create the space frame construction (load bearing construction of your canopy), and use the "Triangular panels A" Lunchbox component to create the glass cladding (panels).
What do you mean by "opening in rhino so nice to get out"?
I think it gets quite nice, as shown at the above example.
You can wave your top surface, by elevating the lofting curves:
Working in Grasshopper, does require at least Rhino basics.
This tutorial might explain you to understand what Rhino "Loft" command is.
Welcome to
Grasshopper
