Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I'm trying to fold up a hexagon towards it center along its diagonals. My first attempt at this involved rotating the "crease curves" about the center point and then lofting, but I realized that the surface area of the faces were varying by about 1.6% (relatively negligible, but since I would eventually like to fabricate this out of some fairly rigid material, I don't believe it is acceptable). My second attempt involved rotating the six triangles about each other, however I noticed that there were some intersections along some of the creases. I've attached my definition and screenshots below.

NOTE: I realize I may not have the most efficient definition for the time being, as I have attempted to back into a solution a few different ways. My hope is that someone can fix my initial problem so that I may begin to pare down my components. :)

Hi Curry,

here is a numerical example ...it fits almost... around 1.0% of area tolerance...

take a look at it maybe it helps you in some way

cheers FF
