Panel Formatting UI Bug

How can I disable the new 'Panel' Text Formatting overlay? If I cant disbale, does anyone else have any suggestions? Perhaps this is a version bug? (I'm at 9.0014).

Currently it obscures the Panel contents at pretty much all zoom resolutions for me. See below.

I am not sure you can disable it, but tou can setup the zoom threshold that makes it appear.

Go to File>Preferences>Widgets>Zooming Widgets

I'm going to try and put those buttons outside of the panel, but it's at present very tricky to draw things and respond to mouseclicks outside of object rectangles.
