how to create random colors for different surfaces!

hi,

i try to explor for me the spidergraph component, but i don't find out how to achieve more variation of colors, and how to increase the number of the applied colors?

http://www.grasshopper3d.com/group/spiderweb

somebody knows more about this component?

if anyone knows another possibility, i would be greatful if you explain this to me.

thanks in advance!

Hallo,

The purpose of Randomized Sequential Graph Coloring is to find the least amount of colors needed to color a given graph so that two adjacent vertex never have the same color.

So if you want to have more than the minimum you simply can split the list of the resulting datatree.

see sample attached

hi richard,

your file is failed.

i can not open it!

sorry because:

https://api.ning.com/files/A0rmyNIX91M2RZDhx*1PRWvmyP3gZlbNftuFR67MbsHLCI8Rs0T30LCLA9Qcu159b5nWOgvK5Q6wK45ry-XpRBrDoh5EXYrh/GraphColoring.rar

Can't open the because...

The file was created with GH 0.9.0014 ..

Richard, the Ning forums (like this one) have some issues with attached .rar files.
.zip ones are ok.

as ZIP

thanks. but i need now some explanaitions!

Hmm I am working on GH_0.9.0014 in Rhino 4.0, the definition is working there.

Fixed the error but:

If you say you want to color the map of Vienna with two colors so that no two regions sharing the same boarder will have the same color, it want work.

I added two panels within the definition one displaying the minimal color wanted [mcw] the other displaying the minimal color found [mcf]

if mcw < mcf the coloring want work.

No two things can be changed:

First increase the number of colors wanted.

Second increase the iteration count. The Randomized Sequential coloring will make more attempts to find a coloring solution with the wanted amount of colors.

Hmm I am working also on GH_0.9.0014 in Rhino 4.0?

Can you send me screenshot with a zoom on the first part, I think the problem lies there

And fancy wires as well (sorry)...
