Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I´m encountering several small problems, while trying to rotate boxes with multiple attractors.

There is one point on the Surface which should define which boxes should rotate according to the attractor point. I think there might be something wrong with the list sorting... somehow I couldn´t manage yet to sort the list according to the distances of the grid towards the pt on srf.

Another issue is the graph mapping in order to control the decay of the Revolution of the boxes. Which also doesnt really work as I imagined... the boxes closer to the pt on srf should turn stronger towards the attractor than the boxes which are further away from it.

The third issue is a Addition of other attractor Points and pts on srf... this I was imagining with the same procedure, since every attractor would have it´s own pt on srf.

I hope it´s half way understandable where I want to go. Would be great to find some help.

Thanks in advance,

Dennis

Maybe the fall off isn't at the rate you want.  Maybe I should have flipped the labeling of the attractor/psuedo attractor points.

Hi Chris,

thanks for your reply. About this Option I thought aswell. But it doesnt give me really the fall I would like to have. Do you know why the boxes are still rotating in vertical columns?

I would like still to generate a fall aswell in the vertical direction. That why I thought to use the graph mapper... what do you think?

All the best,

Dennis
