Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I am trying to use contour command to make the shape below. but the problem is, the contour lines in rhino go straight and they don't react to the circle in my surface! i want them to go around the circle shape , similar to the shape below. should i use grasshopper, or is this possible to be done all in rhino itself? thank you.

oh, thank you man, that's great, it really helped me because I needed this in my college project :)

Djordje, is there any way that i replace the Board and the Circle with my desired entities?

this the entity i am trying to build the contours on...

I can not open your file. It seems you are using newer version of Rhino (v5) than I am.

oh, sorry, here is the file saved in v4

It seems way to complicated than previous basic form.
Try checking my definition and making it by yourself. I do not have that amount of time to do it, sorry.
And yes, it is possible to create this in grasshopper.

yes, actually i did it, i studied your model and learned a lot.

Besides, as i was experimenting with the model another idea came to me : you can make 2 line by hand, and use the TWEENcurve command to make the transition between those two. works pretty well.

thank you for your time and great help.

That "tweencurve" command does not exist in Rhino 4.
I am glad you found the solution.
Good luck with your project.
