algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello everybody,

I have a basic issue with dividing curve, which I could not find here so far. (I'm not a programmer)

I want to divide a curve into several segments which lengths are specified in a list. Number of the segments may vary but their total length is always equal to the length of the curve.

For instance:

curve length: 100

list with values:

20

40

40

20

Results divided 4 segments with length (20;40;40;20)

Hope someone can help!

Thank you very much

Chris,

thanks a lot. It works perfect!

That was amazing support for no time! Great community

Chris it's not correct ou use a crv to domaine 0to1 ils not égale to lenght

Remy,

I might be misunderstanding the component but I was thinking that with N (Normalize) set to True that the Curve and Length domains would be set to match.  It seemed to work so I didn't give it any further thought.  Maybe David will comment a little more on how this particular component works.

If you use a polyline curve, this length is not equal of domain (0-1).
Explode Crv to compare a t parameter.

The definition still seems to work correctly whether I use a polyline or nurbs curve.

Please look the définition.
