algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

Is it possible to populate 2D on more than one surface through separate branches of the same data tree with just a single populate component? * but with different seed values for each of the surfaces.

I cant get this to work and have tried various inputs to correspond to the number of surfaces that i want to populate with random points. It only seems to populate a single branch of the tree.

Any ideas? Or is it necessary to repeat the component for as many branches as required (losing parametric capacity)

edit* i'm not sure if it makes a difference but the surfaces i am using come from a bounding box

Many thanks,

Chris

Hi,

I don't understand where your inquiry lies. is this what you are after?

Best,

M.

Thanks Marios,

Ah whoops - my mistake... i didn't notice the difference between populate geometry and populate 2D but it seems the populate 2D keeps all of them in the world xy plane.

Populate geometry works great!

Many thanks
