Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

How do you think this geometry can be generated. Is it parametric or t-splines only without grasshopper? Any guidance would be appreciated.

hi!

For me it doesn not look like a parametric object/surface. It must have been created via the classic "sculpting" way.

However, in my opinion something very similar could be created by creating a basic surface, evaluating certain points on it, then drawing distorted spheres on those points. After that I'd evalute surface points on the resulting spheres (ellipsoids) and repeat all this stuff again.

You could probably have better control on the resulting form with using attractors to control the radius, direction, "immersion strength" of the embedded shperes.

Okay you confirm my initial thoughts that this can hardly be entirely parametric, but t-spline sculpted. Thanks.
