Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello, i'm trying to subdivide a surface using an attractor point to move the surface grid.  i can get UV coordinates, but not make these into a 2d domain to subdivide the surface.  any help would be appreciated!

Hi Joel,
I don´t know how to make uneven subdivision with an attractor point, but here is an example with the graphmapper. In my case it worked perfactly.

hope this helps

Joel,

I took a quick look at your screengrab. One approach would be to create subdivisions with [Srf4Pt].
Thanks for posting guys. Luis (Fraguada) was able to offer some suggestions. i've posted the definition thus far.

Here's what I came up with. Didn't look at your def, so I don't know your method....

will only works on flat surfaces.... and the middle point is wonky.

the distorted grid will extend past the surface, I just took the closest point on surface... so the edge condition might not be what you're looking for.
