algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi,
I have created a site model on rhino full of rectangular box's representative of the surrounding context to my building.
I want to put pitched roofs on each of these rectangles
So far I have managed to get the bottom x,y planar curve of each of these box's.
And using the center point of these polygons, and using Brep intersect with line command, I have managed to get two point representative of the individual heights of these rectangles.
What I can't seem to do next is use these points as a vector to move the planar curve to the top of the rectangles. So I can start building the roof.
And what I have no idea how to do, is to create a pitched roof, typically representative of suburbian roofs, So instead of extruding to a point, it extrudes to a pitch
This isn't the most interesting use of Grasshopper, but it gets the job done, so very much faster... If I can get it done :(

Never mind. I worked out how to do part one
Ok so i used this definition to make the pitched roofs,
But I can't understand how to make it work when i'm referencing in 130 rectangles..
Could love some help, please.

Hy,
How did you created the pitched roof? I'm struggling here and nothing. Help would be appreciated!
HI djordie,
Old topic but I have just tried your file and it comes up with with result not expecte. Either it create only one pitched roof eventhough I did a multiple selection or worst it creates a planar surface on top of the rectangular prism. I am using your example files as well as other files or mine. same result. Any idea what it can be ?
I am using the latest version of grasshopper and rhino 5.
Thanks a lot.
