Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

Does anyone know a way how to make two points meet in one point when using a kangaroo-simulation?

Connecting them with a spring with the rest length=0 needs constant readjustion.

In my case one of the points is an anchor point, the other is attached to a "membrane" which also tries to contact. So I often have a visible rest length.

I also tried using POWERLAW, but I didn´t get this to work either.

Thank you very much,

Lion

can you show what you are trying to achieve in an image or file? My first answer would be to use a spring but I cannot yet see why this would not work.

In the picture you can see what I mean:

The red dots are the anchor points where all the green points are supposed to meet. As you see small parts of the strings are still visible, even though their rest length is at "0".

It seems that an issue might be that the distorted meshes are "pulling back".

Thanks,

Lion
