Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Dear testers,

Grasshopper 0.7.0014 is available for download.

This release fixes a number of serious bugs with file reading and scripting components. If you've been using an earlier 0.7 beta, please upgrade to this version.

Grasshopper 0.7 undoubtedly still contains many bugs and should not be used for important work/files as it is less reliable than 0.6.X

Hi Carlo,

I did and it still does not work. I still haven't figured it out. Ive downgraded to GH 1 again. Thanks for your help anyway. Still in MX?

M
Mateo, have you tried deleting all of the Grasshopper folder in Rhino/Plug-Ins and installing again?
yesssss!

Gracias Luis
It just always gets better.

Domains no longer convert in Number component to size of domain. Oh and when will that Z domain become active in the 2D slider?

Thanks
Hi David,

first thanks a lot for the great release.

I found a little bug in the Exploed Brep Component...
some times it extracts the wrong order of the vertices.

bug catching:
the brep is generated in GH with "Isotrim"
1) explode brep with explode brep component -> wrong order of the vertices
2) explode brep in rhino first, then use the component -> same failure
3) explode the brep into single faces with my custom script -> then the component works fine!

thanks!

ursula
Hi Ursula,

I cannot repeat this using a similar setup. It may be that the problem has been fixed in the meantime. Let's see if it still happens after the next release.

ok, thanks!
sorry another one
if you want to set multiple points with curve or interpolated curve it is not possible to switch between point, coordinate,.... the command just break
Hi I've just made a move from 0.6.0059 to 0.7.0014 to trial the galapagos function. I must say this build is infinitely more backward compatible than the previous 0.7 offering. Fantastic!

One thing I've noticed is that the Trim with BRep function now has its outputs the wrong way around. So curves that are outside a closed BRep end up in the Ci output and curves inside are in the Co output. Had me truely confused for a while. I did look but couldn't see this picked up anywhere else in the discussions.

Thanks Simon,

I've noticed a few other inside/outside reversals as well, clearly something deep down is confused. I'll see about getting it fixed.

If you find any subsequent backwards compatibility problems, be sure to let me know.

Hi David,

Thanks for responding so quickly. I have also been trying to export some of the data to Excel via the streaming function (importing into a *.csv format) but the decimal places seem a little confused by the time they appear at the other end. I attach an image showing the corresponding outputs.

Interesting. Can I see the csv file that was written?
