algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi everyone! I'm trying to divide ellipse in to same size segments. The way i decided to do that is to divide measured length of an ellipse in to desired number of segments and send this data to DivdeDistance component, but as u can see i've got a little problem with length of the last segment. Hope for your help! Thank you!)

Ok. I've added the missing components but it is still generating errors... See attached definition.
Thanks for the help by the way ;)
Set the C input of the Polyline component to true and replace SpringsFromLine component with a new one (or set the data of the unconnected inputs from top to bottom to 10,0,0,0).
Are you on GH 0.9.0006?
Tnx Vincente! This also woks for me pretty well, but as i'm not familiar with Kangaroo yet it seems for me more complicated method, or not?)) but anyways i'm gonna figure it out, this should be useful, hope not only for me) Tnx!
It's a bit more complicated (not specially complicated) but a lot more faster and interactive.
Galapagos is easy to use but it shouldn't be used as the easy way out, it should be used more of as a last resort thing, when there is no other alternative solution.
When David said there is no other way to solve this in GH except for scripting, he was referring to vanilla GH.
" a lot more faster"
erm... That wasn't really English language failure. I was purposely bending grammatical rules to convey my point.
))) got it!) starting to train Kangaroo) Thank you again!
hi,
i used this script to divide a curve that i created with BREP/BREP INTERSECTION (NON-PLANAR SURFACE/SPHERE) it didnt work for that. my aim is to create non planar equilateral hexagon with this points
I will be waiting for any help.
