Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I try to connect several curves like below:

All of the curves are not touched. How can I join them?

Quite tricky, joining curves works with a specific tolerance, but it will deform the curves during a join operation, so simply upping the tolerance to your gap size might not be desirable. Due to the complexity of the task (it will almost certainly require a lot of iteration and modification of the data-set during iterations) my first attempt would be to write a VB/C# script for this. But even then it sounds like a pretty big task.

u mean doing join work in grasshopper or in Rhino?

In Grasshopper seems not able to change the tolerance? How can I do this?

Grasshopper uses the Rhino document tolerance, so changing it in one place affects both applications.

cool! It works perfekt, what a tricky way...thanks David!

Very helpful.

Its interesting that the components pull the tolerance information of that instance. It seems like you can change the tolerance back after you have pulled the join component and it will still ref the previous tolerance.

Neat.

is there a way to do "join with adjustable tolerance"  without messing up with  Rhino document tolerance? so the def will work regardless to the rhino in hand?

thnx

AJ

you rock!!!

thnx. learned a new trick
