I opened the file with rhino4 and grasshopper 0.8.0066 and it seems to work fine. You make sure you've installed the latest release of uto's meshedit and the latest weaverbird perhaps this is the problem.

I've done something like that a long time ago, but from the basic icosahedron vertices I traced arcs linking vertices (following the circumscribed sphere) and divided the arcs, not the lines connecting the vertices...
Doing this way you will get less variations in the size of bars...
