algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi everyone:
I am a beginner in Grasshopper and I am using Kangaroo for the first time. I've been trying to get the geometry you can see on picture 00.
I tried to create it by moving on Y axis the ancor points till the desired effect. See picture 01.
It would be great to ancor the entire circumference (right side of the picture).
This way when I cut the mesh I could have all the points on the curve instead of what happens now: see picture 03.
any help would be appreciated!
Thank you,
M

I think you can only work with points. You would have to Divide the curve to get a number of points along the curve to represent it. If you look at Daniel Piker's Sailing Test Video you can see that the luff (leading edge of the sail) is only attached to the mast at evenly spaced points.
Hi Danny,
I already tried it but as the points have to be in the mesh they are not exactly following the curve...But I'll try to accurate it more.
Thank you so much!
You can use curve pull forces if you want the curve to act as a rail for your anchor points.

Grasshopper
