Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi All,

I imported a txt file that was generated with processing. This file draws points onto the screen. I would like to draw lines that connect from these points to the points closest to each. Is there a way to do this?

Here is am image of the definition. For some reason any time I post and include the definitions nothing comes through. Here is what I am trying to do via grasshopper but only know how to do it by manually drawing in rhino.

I am no expert in computers but perhaps your browser is blocking some java scripts or something on the website? Try another browser?

Anyway here is your lines:

Thanks I will take a look and send an update.

By the way I was using Chrome and perhaps that is the reason why. I am now using firefox and I was able to attach a definition.

Hello Again,

I am trying to draw a line from center point at Z equals 0 to vertical center point of nearest center point at Z equals a number coming in from a CSV file. How might I go about doing this? Any advise is welcomed.

Um, first of all your file is saved in Rhino 5 and cannot be opened in Rhino 4. I think it's usually a good practice to post it in Rhino 4 format (since Rhino 5 is not out yet) to make sure people can open it.

Secondly can you post your ITP-Spring2012-SDIEO\Week 06-CirclePacking\women_violence_2011.csv please. Or you can right click the icon in Grasshopper and choose to "Internalise data".
