custom paneling from mesh (scanned object) and unique numbering of panels

Hi,

Total newbie with GH, I'm having a bit of trouble trying to get panelingtools to work with my input surface since it is a mesh. I've been trawling the discussions here for similar problems but to no avail. Is there a an easy way of accomplishing a custom paneling of a mesh surface in GH? and yes I'd like to do a unique numbering of the panels afterwards as well. It's for a project with 3d printing of ceramics at the dkds.dk Danish Design School.

Any input appreciated ;)

Cheers

Here is a single surface from your mesh (which actually was a polysurface looking like a mesh).

There is a big hole in it because I crunched it.

Hey thanks a bunch but how did you make a polysurface in to a single surface? crunched?

It looks like it needs to be rebuilt first. Then panelingtools should work fine.

How do you guys make such an assesment? when I check the object Rhino says its valid.
