well that really depends on how you get to your "specific direction".
Can you provide your definition or at least a screenshot?
Ok let me get this straight, you offset your base curve then you get the curve closest point of the offsetted curve. This for getting the desired vector for moving your elements, right? The only thing i can come up with now, is that your offset curve is doing 'weird' things. Sometimes it fragments your base curve and offset some parts on one side and some on the other.
You can usually fix this by rebuilding your base curve or simplifying it before offsetting it. Another option is to use the component offset loose, which moves the curves' control points.
If this is not the case, post your def, so i can take a look.

yes. I would like that when I offset my curve, the elements which the offset curve moves against, follows the offset curve. But it won't work
I post my grasshopper file, rhino is to big. It contains an autocad file.
